When you have a great bra that’s comfortable and stylish you want to wear it, right. That means you’re going to need to wash it. You have two options to clean and care for your bra, handwashing or machine washing. We recommend handwashing your KISSY💋 bra.
Handwashing
You should use a pH neutral (7.0) alcohol-free detergent. Ideally, one that’s suitable for silk. I’ve found the best one to be Persil Silk and Wool (available from Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Wiko, and Amazon, at the time of writing).
- Never use hot water, keep it as cold as possible (under 30°C)
- Add your handwashing detergent
- Gently massage your bra with your fingers
- Rinse your bra in cold water
- Place your bra on a towel and fold the towel over to gently dry your bra
- After pressing out most of the water you can hang your bra to dry
- Clip your bra to a hanger or rack by the under-band
- Never dry your bra close to a heater or in a tumble dryer
Machine Washing
Machine washing will reduce the life of your bra. But if you don’t mind replacing it more often and don’t have the time to handwash then here is the best routine to follow.
Again you should use a pH neutral (7.0) alcohol-free detergent. Ideally, one that’s suitable for silk. I’ve found the best one to be Persil Silk and Wool (available from Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Wiko, and Amazon, at the time of writing).
- Place your bra into a bra washing bag
- Set your machine as cool as possible (under 30°C)
- Add your handwashing detergent
- Run a short cycle with a slow spin
- Clip your bra to a hanger or rack by the under-band to air-dry
- Never dry your bra close to a heater or in a tumble dryer
